Kinda free, kinda now, Charlie. Kinda new, kinda WOW, Charlie.

There's a fragrance that's here to stay and they call it... Charlie. Kinda free, kinda now, Charlie. Kinda new, kinda WOW, Charlie.
In 1973, Revlon introduced Charlie, a fragrance designed for the working woman's budget. Geared to the under-30 market, Charlie model Shelley Hack [perhaps best known for her role as Tiffany Welles in the television series Charlie's Angels for one season (1979–80)], personified the independent woman of the 1970s. This was the first perfume ad to feature a woman wearing pants. Charlie was an instant success, helping to raise Revlon's net sales figures to $506 million for 1973 and to almost $606 million the following year.
Hat tip to Peter for remembering the jingle :)
